About This Blog
After living in Northern Indiana (US) for the last four years, my husband and I thought that we had mastered the art of being vegan in challenging locations. However, before moving to Paris we were perpetually warned of how difficult it would be to maintain our vegan diet during our time in France. This blog documents our trials, tribulations, and triumphs as we learn to eat compassionately in the land of foie gras and creme brulee.

Excellent! I’ll be sure to let the extraVEGANza! crowd know about your adventures. Could you send me a nice photo of the two of you somewhere in Paris to post?
Hmmm. I don’t think I yet have a picture of us somewhere in the city. We’ll be sure to take one soon!
Yes, pictures!!
Hello,
soon we will go to Paris with our two children.
And i can’t wait to receive the addresses of Go!Vindam and Well Being in Paris. Unfortunately i cannot find it on Google or your blog. (probably my skills of searching the webb are not that good ; )
Will you please sent me the two addresses?
THANKS!!!
Nice Blog!!!
Greetings Joy
Hi Joy!
Unfortunately, GoVindam and Well Being are in Cologne (Germany), not Paris.
But there are lots of wonderful places to eat in Paris! If you would like Indian (and somewhat Sri Lankan) food, there’s Krishna Bhavan, which is near Gare du Nord and has lots of vegan dishes–they will also be able to understand you if you tell them that you don’t eat dairy.
I haven’t eaten much Thai food in Paris, but I have seen Thai places around that serve vegetarian dishes. Also, Tien Hiang, a veg Chinese restaurant on the East side of the city, can serve up some pretty tasty Chinese curries (and lemongrass “beef” vermicelli bowls!).
I hope you have a great trip!
I am a Parisian and have many allergies which lead me to search for veggie places wherever I am in the world. New York is one of the best places ever for that, but it is too rare in Paris.
You helped me so much with all the addresses you are posting on your blog. I didn’t think it was possible anymore to find some treats in Paris without eggs and milk.
I am going to Spain this summer and I saw you went to Barcelona and found some places appropriate. However, I am going to Sevilla, Granada and Malaga. Do you have any tips regarding one of these cities, or all of them? That would be more than awesome. Thank you so much.
I’m glad to have been helpful! But I’m sorry to say that I don’t have any recommendations for those three cities–I wish I did! However, this may be of help:

It looks like all three cities have resources for those who are avoiding dairy. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Thank you very much for your answer. You are lovely and I think the link you provided me will be helpful. I’ll make sure to let you know what I found out in Spain
